Анхель Онтальва - испанский гитарист и композитор. Он исследует границы между прогрессивным роком, экспериментальной музыкой и свободной импровизацией, джазом, этнической музыкой.
Анхель известен прежде всего как гитарист и основной композитор испанской авант-роковой группы October Equus. Кроме того, он выпустил несколько соло-альбомов и создал несколько международных проектов: этно-психоделический OBO с певицей из Иркутска и барабанщиком Анастасией Маслобоевой и виртуозным саксофонистом Алексеем Кругловым, авангард-прог-роковый состав No Grooves (недавний альбом «Blood Moon Tonight» был выпущен на его лейбле octoberXart Records) с сибирскими музыкантами, фри-джазовый проект "Сибирские собаки" со звездной командой финских музыкантов, а также испанско-колумбийско-австралийское импровизационное рок-трио Yurey и другие проекты. Он также является основателем лейбла octoberXart Records.
В своих сольных выступлениях он использует свои собственные композиции в очень широком пространстве импровизации, делая каждый концерт уникальным, всегда отличающимся, часто используя расширенные техники игры и необычные способы извлечения звука с упором на мелодику.

Ángel Ontalva is a guitarist and composer with an extense trajectory on creative musics. He explores the boundaries between progressive rock, experimental, free improvisation, jazz, ethnic music, with a language developed through decades of contact with different musical traditions and an endless curiosity on collaborations with colleagues from all cultural backgrounds and geographic origins.
He is better known for being the leader of the cult avant-prog band October Equus. Besides that, he has released several critically acclaimed solo albums and created multiple international projects: ethno-psychedelic OBO with the Irkutsk based singer and hammer dulcimer player Anastasiya Masloboeva and the virtuoso sax player Alexey Kruglov, avant-prog-rock No Grooves (whose recent album "Blood Moon Tonight" has been released in his label octoberXart Records) with siberian musicians, free jazz Siberian Dogs with a stellar team of finnish musicians, the spanish-colombian-australian improvised rock trio Yurei or the explosive collaboration with the Moscow-based Priot Duo playing his compositions are only a few of them. He is also, as mentioned, the founder of the label octoberXart Records.
As a solo player, he uses to perform his own compositions on a very open way and wide space for improvisation, making each concert a unique experience, always different, often using aternative tunings and extended or unusual techniques for to construct different ambiences and textures, always exploratory but putting emphasis on melody.
